Pehaps they are thinking that the return of 50% of the 3% NSR to Champion (CIA) will make Champion more marketable an/or attractive as a takeover target (just as garnering a larger percentage of Magpie should theoretically do for FNC) which will lead to an increase in CIA's shareprice... which would then allow FNC to liquidate some/all of its' position ...essentially a roundabout means of monetizing its Champion asset , as it is currently being attributed absolutely no value whatsoever whilst in FNC's possession. (basically, moving its goods to a prettier and higher profile and/or volume shop, without having to pay higher rent fees)
