Message: Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. Agrees to Sell its Chromite Assets in Canada

Hello Tony.

Remember this can go either way. It can be KMG with designs over Noront (little fish eats big fish) or Noront with designs over KWG (big fish eats little fish). The meal can be the whole fish or a big bite of the fish.

Also, my call goes further than KWG and Noront. I continue to emphasize the ramifications so far as the wider picture.

I used more words than absolutely required to make my main prediction (in my earlier message today)—with the main ramifications to financial liquidity of the Mineral Resource Industry spelled out—because I believe that my wider prediction (and that wider subject) of the collateral consequences is so much more important than the immediate events. In other words, I predict this is only the start of something big, real big.

Remember, the present cash-poor state of the whole market is our most pressing immediate concern. If this is the beginning of the trend that reverses that situation, that’s far more important news than (for example) one company reporting its particular successes or failures regarding its exploration activities. Success or failure concerning the financial end—at this particular stage of the game—carries more weight than success or failure concerning the exploration end.

My larger point and my larger predictions concern the deal-making environment, which is very trendy. I’ve been around long enough to identify a great candidate for the event which sets off the stampede.

I’ve seen this kind of development played out before (over and over again) to recognize the wider implications. My informed suspicion is that an atmospheric alteration is taking place. We will soon witness larger deals coming up, with more and more deal-making to follow, exemplified by investment banks and other financial institutions rushing in, at a frantic pace to outdo each other, putting together business combinations, which are the lifeblood of banking.
