Two days ago, you thought out loud, “Perhaps we could fire” Michael D’Amico, “the PR guy.” You did not think we are getting good value, paying him $5,000 a month, plus the out-of-the-money stock options he received as compensation over the years.

I have a different opinion. What I have to say on the subject is not documented proof. But I’ve learned from my many years in the business world, engaging and working with many people, how not to mistake someone who has real character and has intelligent initiatives on his mind from someone else who pretends to be the same but, in truth, will wind up doing nothing more than occupying space.

Michael D’Amico is one of the good guys. He’s on our side. The little he is doing is due to the fact that he has not been authorized to do more. Not that he hasn’t asked. He’s tried and tried. The frustration in his voice is not an act he’s putting on.

I have a great solution to the problem you mentioned of getting so little from him in return for the money we’re spending: Pay him more, approximately triple what he gets now. As part of the deal, untie his hands and give him the freedom to do what (he agrees with me) must be done.

As a result, I have no doubt whatsoever that, in short order, Fancamp’s market capitalization will more than triple (matching his pay raise in percentages but exceeding it in dollars by tens of millions). Unfortunately, my recommendation will never be heard.

That’s because I’ve been contaminated by business people, a great majority of whom understand the value of building new business relationships. Our Great Sovereign will not lower himself to the level of attending to such trivialities, which are far beneath his royal status.
