VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Aug. 6, 2013) - Fancamp Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:FNC) ("Fancamp" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Guy Girard to the management team, as Executive VP and Project Logistics Manager. Mr. Girard's role will be the management and operation of the Company's exploration programs with geologic input from Messrs Smith and Lafleur. Mr. Girard has already very successfully performed this role for the Company on its Lamêlée Iron project and Magpie Iron Titanium project.
Mr. Girard holds a finance degree (1985) and a master's degree in finance from Laval University (1992). From 1985 to 1998, Mr. Girard worked as a representative, Director and Vice-President for various Canadian securities firms. In 1998, Mr. Girard co-founded Avensys Corporation Inc. and was its Vice-President of Finance until August 2003. During this period, while being responsible for the financial operations of Avensys Corporation Inc. (www.avensys.com) and of its five subsidiaries, Mr. Girard completed many acquisitions and financing transactions and organized the sale of the company to a U.S. based entity. From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Girard was President of Cogivar Corporation and Vice-President of Pamérica Corporation, two capital pool companies which completed their qualifying transactions in order to qualify under the TSX Venture Exchange regulations.
Mr. Girard is presently Founder and President of Explo-Logik Inc., a consulting and logistics firm in the mining industry. He is also active in two junior mineral exploration companies as well as a technology company, all listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Fancamp granted stock options to Mr. Girard on August 2, 2013 entitling Mr. Girard to purchase up to 500,000 common shares of the Company at an exercise price of $0.15 per common share until August 2, 2018. The options are granted pursuant to the Company's stock option plan, under which a maximum of ten percent (10%) of the issued and outstanding common shares are reserved for issuance. Shares issuable upon exercise of the incentive stock options are subject to a four (4) month TSX Venture Exchange hold period, commencing on the date the incentive stock options are granted.
