I posted earlier regarding a potential timeline for the Magpie results, but subsequently (now) stumbled upon this NR dated August 22nd 2012:

Magpie is presently shipping 1.5 tonnes of ore samples to SNFT, which are estimated to arrive in China in about a month. Duration of the project is 2-months after receipt of the samples by SNFT.

So according to that timeline the project should have reasonably been wrapped up nearly 2 months ago!
