If it’s not clear by the tone of my last message:

I did not write about management having “important discussions” with
“the officialdom of Port of Sept-Îles” with any foreknowledge of this.

My idea is that we should talk to management as though this were a
foregone conclusion because it would, obviously, be negligence if this
were not the case. We should express ourselves that way, as though
it’s a given; essential communications are well under way. We shouldn’t
talk as though there’s any choice in the matter.

That’s the reasoning behind my phrasing: “We should never cease
asking management how its important discussions are progressing
with the officialdom of Port of Sept-Îles.”
