Gold rose yesterday as stress tests on U.S. banks underscored lingering uncertainties in the financial markets, bolstering the metal's safe-haven appeal. Gold for June delivery settled at $911 (U.S.) an ounce, up $6.70, on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
