Yes, perhaps tax loss. But, when insiders sell for a tax loss they are betting that they can buy it back for the same price or less after 30 days wait and they have more information than us. Actually they could purchase it for a higher amount and still be ahead, I guess, depending on the amount of the loss. Perhaps they just needed a little cash for Xmas. I just hope that we will see them buy their shares back in February.
