The bottom line to all this - is that there is significant value at magpie no matter how u slice it - with various options to "realize" the value... ipo's - sale to chinese/majors - as viable alternatives.
Peter has told me that he feels that Magpie is world class in size and that the tonnage can exceed 1 billion in size... as for the grading of 40% iron ore - that was based on his assessment of data from Soquiem assays and sampling years ago.... there are other metals and did not factor that into the equation or value.. it was his 100/ton for all mineralization - and yes maybe it's high today... but on a 5 year avg not unreasonable. Point is that Magpie is a slam dunk in terms of the ore is there right in your face - the work required is to determine size. So Peter is drilling a couple of holes to allow the 43-101 to be completed and make a rough estimate.
Let's hope the markets come down and steps can be taken to unlock the value of Magpie for shareholders.
NOT - should be interesting to see what happens now that Rousseau won the fight... any thoughts
