Your question of the 300,000 short issue got me to thinking. I looked at the short history for the last year, and see that this has been the short float since end Sept 07. So, perhaps whomever has this short still has not seen the price go low enough to cover to this point.
If that is the case, then I would not have wanted to be in their shoes when the shares hit $3 earlier, hehe.
Whatever the reason, there are no sources out there that I would trust for this stock:
Forgot that in every story, there are rumors and the rumors are saying that hole #2 was very interesting...another reason I am holding.

Obviously, Glorieux was fed a line that will not have served him well, and he has been quiet of late.
For myself, I am not a Fancamp shareholder - I didn't like the communication pattern (or complete lack thereof) by the company. It wasn't until Apr or May that they even had a company website. There was far too much hype for a property that had never been drilled. Nice to know that one of my hunches worked in my favour so far.
Now, at the current prices, I will be looking at buying FNC. I don't think that they are totally barren, but it might not be as good as they had hoped for.
