This is a First Nations publication. If you look at the other articles, they nearly all deal with land claims issues which is a huge source of wealth for First Nations people. Like most such papers, they want to attract interest/ generate sales (although I don't think sales is an issue here) What they are likely referring to is early investors made a considerable amount of money which is true. I am sure there were First Nation individuals who made money as well. However, First Nations as an organization with land claims have not been recipients as of yet. I am not sure what the process is for that but I have seen releases from some companies that there is open dialogue.
