Can you point me to a post John Defur has made on geology that would be incorrect? If he is self taught (I really do not know) but knows what he is talking about It does not matter if he has a degree in geology. If he does not know geology he must put in hours looking for words to put in his posts. I am not a geologist but have put a lot of faith in what he says.

If I should not listen to him I would like some examples of where he misled someone or examples of why newbies should be aware. I have never seen anyone challenge anything he has posted except his "theory" of how MacFaulds came into being. Of course he labeled it a theory so as not to be taken as fact
