Developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources

Sunday Morning.........Day Dreaming a bit.

With the Fed's in Australia willing to take up the cause in facilitating infrastucture and pipelines and such to get LNG to the east coast of Australia, a thought occurred. Did a new buyer just enter the picture? After all, there seems to be a bit of confusion on what direction the end product will flow to, like Impex - to the Asian Market and such. But given that this stuff is right in Australia's backyard, might it be prudent to have ownership in the asset inorder to have influence on just whom this little jewel will supply?

Just saying.

So I decided to play a bit with numbers according to the charts and graphs. You may want to as well.

There are 4.1 million acres in play, of which Falcon owns 30%, or 1.4 million acres.

The charts suggest that each acre has a value of $ 18,489 per acre, in production. That is a 5-6 year old comparrison, which I expect would be possibly higher than that, given that the numbers are post the 2008 crash, and inflation having occured.

My math, after doing the numbers and shares outstanding, suggest $ 22.74 per share on the sale of the Falcon Australia Asset alone, forget the recent statements that might imply that SA is opening up.

I might also suggest that an active partner with that play, the deep pockets needed would in fact be available to make it happen.

I know it is just a dream.........but should we open the bidding? Let's say the opening bid @ 20b for Falcon's 30% interest?

Aren't numbers fun?

It's my carrier in the Accounting Field. While some view numbers to be a statement of fact, I have always considered them a form of Creative Artwork.
