Message: What if Hess wants to buy out Falcon Australia?

A few months ago there was a discussion here about the possibility of Hess making an offer for Falcon Australia and someone (newtofo maybe?) suggested that perhaps they were waiting for the open options issue to be resolved, which it now appears to be. So it does feel as though Falcon is tying up all its loose ends before the Hess announcement.

Supposing Hess did buy out Falcon Australia at some stage, I have the same question I recently posted re PHUN, namely what would it mean for us (regular FO) shareholders? Do we each get a per-share one-off payment paid into our brokerage accounts or how does it work?

I've never held shares in a company that has sold part of its holdings before so am completely ignorant of the nuts and bolts of such a transaction. And as Philip O'Quigley has discussed, it does seem as though farming out then selling out is going to be a feature of Falcon's business model going forward - so I'm keen to know what I can expect as a shareholder.

Thanks in advance.
