Providence Resources announced today that its finance director, Philip O’Quigley, is stepping down from his role in order to accept an offer to become chief executive of Canadian listed Falcon Oil and Gas.

"Philip has been an integral part of the Providence team since 2008 and has been a key player as the company has developed over the past four years,” said Providence chief executive, Tony O’Reilly.

“Whilst we are obviously very sad that Philip is stepping down from his executive post, we are pleased that he has agreed to stay on as a non-executive director.”
