Let me state that Ryder Hunt is no slouch in my book.
“An independent report by major international resources analyst Ryder Hunt said last year that the basin - a 30,000 square kilometre tract of land surrounding Daly Waters, 600 kilometres south of Darwin - holds 18 billion barrels of oil and 63 trillion cubic feet of shale gas.”
“That's five times more gas than the $30 billion offshore Inpex project.”
This implies that the Beetaloo basin potentially contains $150 billion worth of gas resources. Maybe the 18 billion barrels of oil worth a pretty penny too ;)
But let’s stick to the $150 billion value. So now, Hess is getting 62.5 % stake in the Beetaloo project leaving Falcon Australia with 37.5% stake that translates to $56 billion value.
Falcon has 73% stake in Falcon Australia or $41 billion value.
And that’s also no slouch in my book.
