I believe the BP spill dramatically increases the chance of JV partners in Aus. Besides the 6 month Obama ban on deep sea drilling in the gulf, others are stating that the spill will impact their policies. Last week a Norwegian official stated that they may pursue further restrictions. Medvedev stated that the spill will not effect his countries relationship with BP, but that the spill will dramatically alter oil exploration and drilling. As this catastrophe worsens[due to government incompetence in cleanup] the cost of deep sea drilling will rise significantly. Why not reduce your risk and commit to a huge on land resource in a friedly countr?y.
