>A JV partnership is going to happen---probably with multiple partners--just my opinion. It’s all about the quality of the resource and we are in the right country at the right time.
.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Falcon has a great asset in Australia, and the world’s best energy companies are sourcing for opportunities to sink their drill into the world’s best resource plays. So, you are right, it’s the right country at the right time.
Europe’s also getting plenty of attention from the energy players, and I happened to believe that the Makó trough will not be ignored.
According to the Financial Times, Statoil is in hot pursuit for unconventional plays:
“Helge Lund, chief executive of Statoil of Norway, says his geologists evaluated hundreds of basins before focusing on 10 to 15 areas worthy of closer examination.
“It is far too early to conclude whether shale will make as much of an impact outside the US as it has done inside the US,” he says.
Like his competitors, who have secured positions in Austria, France, Sweden, Hungary and Poland, Mr. Lund is being secretive about which basins Statoil has identified.”
