Developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources

Thanks John.

What the author is saying is almost identical to what Dr. Szabo said at the press conference. I'm assuming these engineers were present, and that's where they got their information.

I think the most important statement is this:

"It will be necessary to test a variety of (oil based) fracing fluids."

Unfortunately, according to this artice on the Mako Trough:

http://www.epmag.com/Magazine/2008/9/item8256.php

"The challenges are multiplied in this environmentally sensitivity area where the use of more technically proficient oil-base drilling fluid is prohibited."

So if water based fluids don't work, and oil based fluids are prohibited, that leaves synthetic fluid as the next choice. That is, of course, if Exxon didn't use the new water based fluid that MI-Swaco developed in the above article.

"It can be said that the Makó trough research is comparable in magnitude and importance to the ELI- Super Laser project. If that is not a dream, then the Makó gas is a reality."

The Super Laser project is no longer 'just a dream'
