Falcon continues preparatory work for natural gas extraction in the Makó trough. There is no new development, that would require a review of previous plans - said György Szabó, CEO of TXM Kft. this Thursday in a press conference at Óföldeák.

There are serious difficulties, but no new information has been uncovered which would justify a review of the original plans," - said the expert, at the press conference held at the company’s well site.

Falcon’s experts are working to find an appropriate method to extract the unconventional hydrocarbons from the Makó trough. If their efforts succeed - as it already happened in North America – then the production beginning in 2012, just in a few years would ramp up to the annual level of around 13 billion cubic meters, that would cover Hungary’s gas energy needs - said György Szabó.
