"In Hungry, testing operations continued order to assess tight-gas play opportunities in the Mako Trough and we are evaluating the results gathered so far. We are also planning further testing operations in Békés Basin."

Everyone seems to forget why Exxon is the world largest energy company. They are, because they are sophisticated in finding world-class energy plays, and when they find one, they are persistent in their effort to bring it to production, even the most difficult plays. They came to Hungary to explore not only the Mako Trough, but other basins as well. They are already working in the Békés Basin, which is just east of the Mako Trough.

In this image you can see the sheer size of these 3 depressions in the Earth's crust, which used to be the bottom of Lake Pannon 10 million years ago.

"But I would leave you with this morning is that all of project are progressing, nothing has been taken down or cancelled. Nothing have been taken off the table. We remained focused on the long-term investment plan that we've cabled with you in the past and there is no change to our long-term investment strategy."
