I fully agree with Lanman1....there is nothing sinister on Exxon's part about recommending to stop testing F1, and there is nothing out of the ordinary that after spending the money they said they would in phase 1, they would then retrench and take the next few months to evaluate what has been accomplished so far.

There is no break in the relationship between XOM and FO caused by a committee that votes to do one more frac at F1 with the remaining funds from phase 1. They had to be spent somewhere, and the group jointly decided to do one more frac at F1. It is simply nonsense to think otherwise, and those advocating that line know nothing as to how these joint venture committees work.

The evaluation by Exxon is for the whole Mako trough, they did not sign on to test just the F1 well.

Part of the nervousness may arise from the fact that Exxon has a polish play on the go, at this very moment. Exxon is big enough to handle simultaneous exploration in Hungary and Poland, and several other places as well.
