I would hope that they will at least get SOME gas. And if they do, I assume they have the pipeline hooked up and won't need to flare, other than during flowback.

I know that in Alberta, if the gas contains H2S, the flare stack has to have a standing pilot light in case of emergencies, so even if the pipeline is hooked up, I think it would be normal to see a small flame on the flare stack 24/7.
