Investment Risks
Presence of movable water.
Company press releases state that wireline logs indicate gas saturation with no movable water in the key zones. In tight gas sands where effective porosities are low, any movable water in the reservoir can block pore throats and can kill a well. Although there are no current indications of movable water in the key reservoir zones, there is a risk of encountering movable water during the testing phase. Care will have to be taken to not fracture-stimulate into water pods."
