Likewise I work in advertising and marketing here in Denver and used to work for the Office of the Secretary of Defense in their PR department in another life. I've seen firsthand how you make a press statement and everyone tries to interpret it 20 different ways.

I agree that someone had to make a news release because of the volume of sales that were going on and I feel TSX forced FO to come up with a press release quickly when they stopped the trading. I also think the PR agency did a pretty poor job on this one. Probably one of those that was being coordinated with several people in the middle of night scattered all over the world -- Sometimes when you are tired, you don't look at the fourteen different variations of one word to see which is best.

Likewise -- I think until we hear something official on Exxon's position about moving forward or not -- everything else is just pure speculation.

If you believe -- buy more at a great price to lower your average share price -- that is what I did today and it worked out. If you don't you probably bought at $5 a share like I did a few years ago and what difference does it make now. I say let it play out for a while and see what is "officially released".
