Flacon Oil and Gas trades on the Venture Exchange as FO.V which is better know to old timers as the original Vancouver exchange. In addition it also trades as FOLGF.PK on the OTC pink sheets. Fortunately when I buy FO in my TDWATERHOUSE discount brokerage account I buy it as FO and can therefore buy it in Canadian funds. At one time Montreal, Alberta and Vancouver all had exchanges on which small cap companies, mostly those dealing with energy, traded. The Toronto Stock Exchange now trades these shares on its small cap exchange which is now known as the Venture exchange. I first bought FO in 2005 and have actively traded it ever since. So, indeed you are correct in that shares do not actually trade in Vancouver but rather on the Venture exchange which may or may not still have a location in Vancouver. By the way the old Vancouver exchange was know mostly for stock manipulation and outright fraud.
