In the end the problem did not go away, it got bigger, and they crushed the dissenters with brute force. A sorry chapter for Europe, which to a very large extent explains the attitudes of many eastern europeans, and their almost phobic behaviour towards the old Soviet rulers, and the anxiety it creates on Hungarians today when a Russian company gets too close to home (like for example Sugurt to MOL).
