As a result of this dispute, FO and partners have and incredible opportunity to demonstrate the value of their JV to Hungary and the EU. To benefit, the EU needs objective evidence that Mako and other "tight gas" projects are capable of mitigating dependence on Russian gas. Time to complete and flow a GAS well or two--JMO. Whether EOM would "Play" to the Crowd," is another question???)
Hi Dick,
I do not think the consortium wants to appear that they are exploiting the crisis. Not now, just ahead of the results that is expected to be out in the coming 6 months or so. Besides, everyone in the industry and the EU governments are aware of and keeping a keen eye on this unconventional play. Therefore, it is prudent to wait for the results, and then it will be the right time to bask in their glory.
Up until that time, we have to believe that we are prescient :)
