Project Engineer - Drilling Solutions, Hungary

Reporting to the Hungarian Operations Manager you will be responsible for the management of activities for Drilling Fluid and Integrated Fluid Engineering programmes. In the absence of the Senior Project Engineer, you will assume responsibility for all daily operational activities whilst providing technical support to our clients and coordinating engineering for specified projects.

Based in Hungary supporting various locations, you will be required to determine work programs, undertake all pre-job planning (rig surveys, mobilisation lists etc.), forecast material requirement, brief field supervisors and client’s representatives prior to mobilisation. During the execution of projects you will be the focal point for specified projects providing support and assistance to both the client and operational personnel, ensuring M-I SWACO maximise the value delivered to the client through our integrated solutions and ensure all post job reports, and invoicing are correctly completed accurately and timely. This is a residential position.

Required Experience

• Significant experience in a support of project planning / engineering function
• Extensive experience with Oil and Synthetic Based Invert Emulsion Fluids
• Experienced in Drilling Fluids Operations
• Ability to conduct advanced engineering calculations such as hydrostatics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, torque, pressure, stress, strain etc
• Fluency in oilfield terminology and practices
• Knowledge of M-I SWACO Engineering Software
• Ability to work in a multi-task, high-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or relevant experience
  OR
  Significant oilfield experience in relevant positions
• Good computer skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Commitment to QHSE Compliance
• IFE Certified – advantage
