solyomtwo, I agree, the dance has started. Ukraine has to pay market prices for gas and that is $400, versus the $179 they currently pay. So in addition to paying their 2.4 billion dollar debt, they will face a 223% increase in energy costs starting in 2009. The Winter their will be very cold indeed. The economic shock of higher energy at a time of economic slowdown may put them over the edge. Any disruption in energy to EU will make our Mako seem like the answer to their problems (well that and Blue Stream. As for Nabucco, who knows...)
