The International Speculator in its Jan. 2, 2009, issue, refreshes its buy of Exeter Resource Corp. at $2.36, officially, "Best Buy."
This is the newsletter's second time around with Exeter. It said buy on June 1, 2006, at $2.32, and sell six months later, on Jan. 2, 2007, at $2.59. Assuming a $1,000 investment, the sell yielded a profit of $83. The editor was worried about Exeter's political risk in Argentina's Mendoza province and how it might affect its La Cabeza gold project. The Speculator then said buy three more times between June 1, 2007, and July 3, 2008, at prices ranging from $2.74 to $5.36. An investment of $1,000 for each of the three newer buys is worth $1,803. The Speculator's writer notes that Exeter shares are up strongly from his most recent report on the company's affairs, on Dec. 3, 2008, at $1.51.
He credits gold's upward trend, and what he calls more excellent drill results from the Cerro Moro silver-gold project in Santa Cruz, Argentina.
These results include 72.8 grams per tonne gold and 6,471 g/t silver over 3.4 metres. Subscribers should try to get shares at around $2. Fellow letter writer John Kaiser, San Francisco's bottom-fishing guru, said buy in October, 2005, at $1.25.
