While you are certainly right Plums, that any estimate given (if given) will be outdated shortly after it is released, I think at this point it is very important for investor confidence to have that release. All along, it was said that they were working towards an initial resource estimate, by (I think) all the principals. I know the first time I heard the suggestion there might not be was in the Fundamental Research analysis, so I asked about it. With the questions about management (and I think I have shown I side with Plums in wanting to give management a chance to prove they were right) not having an estimate would add far more fuel to the fire with upset shareholders.
I agree it will likely be an estimate from a core within the drilling rather than the whole area drilled, but I hope if so they clearly show the smaller area used with things like - "but look at the drill intercepts we have hit outside this system - this is still much bigger than we are reporting" Investors need something good to motivate the price upward and if the information is not outstanding, this is a chance to show they can write a good news release. If it is great, let the numbers carry us on...
