Wow talk about a weird one! Halt the stock and then announce an underwriting, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the halt has been lifted after this news. I don’t think the halt was in regards to the pp announcement, but rather in regards to upcoming additional news IMHO, could be wrong on this one and obviously we will find out in the am. It was also halted at (usual for the past halts with EVG) at the company’s expense... “Evolving Gold Corp. was halted at 12:25 p.m. Pacific Time on Nov. 3, 2009, at the company's request, pending news.”, and yet some say EVG can’t release further news until the closing of this pp. If a material change is in effect, then news, once deemed received, must be released on a timely fashion... pp announcement, Christmas, halt, regardless. In respect to today’s financing I believe (personally take as a positive thing to get the doe while it’s on the table) this provides good drilling/exploration doe, and clarifies why the market has been reacting the way it has. My only hope is that there is some upcoming good gnews to be announced additionally, and my gut feels like it’s a good thing. Why halt a stock for announcement of an underwriting, it’s locked in at a price regardless (and I don't think they will cancel and re-price based upon/releasing pending news, otherwise why don’t the financers just wait until after nr’s?). The folks putting up the doe have the risk still applied if it’s not good news, and with a plethora of news still to be announced, I figure they’ll take the shot and roll the dice here. So thus not a great thing for overall dilution, but a good thing for the EVG’s till, and yet on the flip the shorts could try to make another run at er...(but very risky move considering allot more assays are still a commin’). C’mon EVG, make us all happy a bit before St Nick arrives please heh.
