Message: How low will we drift?

Nothing wrong with thinking out loud. Most of what is posted here is thinking out loud. We have few facts and they seem to be confusing. If you have a lot of shares to sell it might be very hard to dispose of them without depressing the share price. I just looked at the last 10 trades. The largest is 4,000 shares and two others are 1,500 and 1,000. The rest are in the hundreds. I cannot see much reason to dump unless you are really desparate for money or can't sleep at night.

I'm thinking out loud with this too. I'm in the camp that I'd rather see CMM continue on its own. So I am on the no side for now. I think we all are because the proposal for the merger has not convinced us it is in our best interest. We have to wait for the official offer so we can read it. I hope when it does eventually come out there is enough detail so we can make an informed decision. Perhaps when it becomes more clear our share price will move up some. The market does not like uncertainty, and we have that in spades now.

I have been thinking a lot about what is behind this move by Finiskiy and whoever is supporting him. He has a lot of money in CMM so he has a lot of clout. I think Finiskiy started WTG with the idea to merge it into CMM right from the start. WTG has two or three small mines in Russia ( from what I know ) but his big plum is CMM. It has the potential to be profitable enough to support all his operations. It is his best opportunity to get the value he has in his Russian operations where he can see it's assets as much more marketable. Once successful he could sell and get his value out much easier.

This mornings news about this bridge loan indicates to me that CMM is in need of operating cash. I also had that feeling from the beginning when this merger was first proposed. If correct, then we were operating on thin ice. I've heard the argument about the price of gold, the production we are aiming to have very soon, and that we should be profitable. But are we? I know we should be, but what should be and what is are sometimes very far apart. If CMM was in danger of having to stop because of a shortage of funds, then out lenders would only be too happy to take us for pennies on the dollar. The shareholders would be left out in the cold with nothing. I'm not saying this is the case, but then we don't know that. At least this is what concerns me most.

A short while back the person " fair for all " and Hoov were to meet, and perhaps approach the company. I can't think of two better people to do this, and I think this approach is a good one. We also need the written proposal to read. Until we know something from these two sources, we are really in the dark.

Just a bit more thinking out loud to think about.............Liz
