Speculating reflections Sory for the late answer P C , but the week end was busy with something else then business I did'nt base my post on actual observation of the ongoing trading . My reflection is based on the belief this deal as been thought trough for many months . I believe shares sold by WTG in december at a price of $1.00 might have been part of the actual action . Finsky was already part of CMM and at that time ( december ) i believe buying CMM was already in motion in WTG's office . I think it's pssible and not so far fetched to believe that participants in WTG's share emissions in december were also aware of the coming deal . As such i think it's possible they were part of the action since december in the trading action on CMM . I believe shares could have been traded trhrough multiple trading houses by people not insiders to CMM in order to act on the SP . It's a possibility that shares from WTG that were around $4.50 when the actual deal was announced could have been sold at a discount , in order to keep CMM value based on the deal at around 0.85 , while still scaring retailers that the WTG shares were not worth the SP for all the reasons that were exposed on this forum for the last while . Many here have argued as you're well aware that WTG SP is highly inflated , and it's been argued their SP should be a fration of our own . So by offering paper wich worth is highly unknown and sometimes valued as low as $0.15 to $0.25 many must have thought they might as well take a small profit or losses ang run away from this deal . I think it could also have been reinforced by would sellers who got into CMM since december who were willing to take losses in order to show the market this deal stinks . All that , i admit is purely speculative , but based on what was said about WTG and what we know about the games played in the market as 2008 was proof of it does'nt seem unreasonable to imagine this could have been a plan within a plan .
I can also imagine a third party coming in late into this deal with an improve offer , that might look quite different or similar , but they would'nt need an all cash offer , i agree , in order to turn us around as so many retailers are upset from the actual deal ,the $13 millions in penalty would'nt be such a deterrant considering the low price offer and the future value of this deal . If a third party mid tier or major producer inspiring confidence , were to offer an all share deal , or shares with cash at even the same apparent price from WTG ( around $0.85 ) , i think many shareholders would rather go that way knowing what the exact value of those shares would represent .
Of course if a third party comes in that's when the real action would start , but this might also never come to be , and if not then we'll know CMM is not worth what we believe it is .
As for the SP i believe those who got out last week for most part were the most afraid of the deal and those who could have helped in scaring them off although i understand your doubts this could have been done based on your observation . Of course all this talk about WTG's shares being worthless certainly helped . But i also think we have now stabilised and things now look better , unless some new scary news comes out of the blue .
So as you see my thinking is purely speculation on my perspective that human nature when greed takes over can imagine plans and ways to manipulate human psyche .
In any case i'm still holding 'cause fear is a bad counseler and also of course 'cause wether CMM produces 70,000 or 75,000 ounces at Lamaque this year the sp should very nearly double from it's actual price as long as this company does'nt find ways to go bankrupt .
PS : i'm a small shareholder and when at work i can't folow the daily action , this is something i do before or after work , except on the odd monday i take off , that's why i can't follow who trades on the stock , i also don't have access to level 2 and can't analyse the trading houses involved . It would be nice if level 2 was exposed here daily as mrstormpay used to do before he left , so this information would available to us all .
