Off the top of my head I don't know what the ratio of institutional to retail shareholders is but I suspect the Russian controls or has influence over a large number of shares.
I will not be surprised if the CMM offer will just be one of several announcements we will see by WTG.
I suspect they have already talked to the institutions about the future of WTG/Polyus and will have convinced them that the CMM deal is small potatoes compared to what they have in store.
The more I think about it, we may get a real (positive) surprise here.
