Message: "Disappointment" ... but not "Fear"

As an investor but not overly savy on the fundamentals of gold mining; up until now, I have been content to stay in the wings and observe and learn from those who are more experienced. However, I find myself compelled to express my opinions as it relates to the handling of recent events.

On Feb. 4, Daniel Majors, during the conf. call indicated much progress and initiatives that gave the market confidence and, without question, he very quickly established himself as a knowledgeable leader and manager and gained our almost instantaneous respect. On February 9, the crusher goes down and his plans and indications are setback by a mechanical failure. I can only sympathize with him and what he thought about the next morning when he woke up.

For me, it is not about what happened to the crusher ..... but how it was handled.

  • why the secrecy?
  • why the delay?
  • why the News Release during the PDAC?
  • why the negative tone of the news release?
  • why the need to obviously expose investors to the wrath of the marketplace?
  • what other questions does this handling of events now raise?

After all it was only a mechanical failure that was resolved in a few short days and a $200,000 fast track expenditure. I for one now feel compelled to step back and rethink my fast track acceptance of Mr. Major. Prefering instead to give him some addtional time to reestablish, as future events unfold, an earned position as......"knowledgable Leader and Manager and gained our almost instantaneous respect"

My last bullet "what other questions does this handling of events now raise?" has now opened, in my mind, additional questions from the past which could affect Century Mining's future respect in the marketplace.

This incident was poorly handled.
