Just to bump Hoov's post up from Feb 23rd about last day in Canada to meet the record date for voting:

Not exactly. Only shareholders of record on March 8 will be able to vote at the Special Meeting. Anybody owning the shares whenever/whatever happens will be eligible for what happens.

To meet the record date, you'd have to transact your purchase by March 3, to allow for the 3 business days for trade settlement. That's if you want to be able to vote on the outcome.
