I really like your last line. However, in reference to the first paragraph, it is the nature of greed to act in such a way as to augment itself as a cancer does, and thus bring about all manner of mechanisms to affect this end... including actions that would constitute conspiracy.

conspiracy- a secret agreement between two or more people to perform an unlawful act

Now tell me that we haven't seen a conspiracy or two in the economic meltdown of the last 3 years both on large and small scales. Tell me that leaving the gold standard and the general actions of the Fed haven't been unlawful, considering the constitution.

I still like your last line though and I agree that this is likewise taking place.
