I definitely agree that buying San Juan de Chorunga was a coup. Looks like they got it for a song, and looks like it's one of those properties that you can expand tremendously just by investing some modern equipment in it. Their decision to send all the old Lamaque gear to Peru, after buying new low-profile gear for Lamaque, is something that looks great. Maybe it was simple common sense, but maybe also they knew long ahead of time that it is a property with a massive upside?

But if you look at the company's present value, they have 19000 oz/yr production in Peru, and nothing else til Lamaque gets going. At $500/oz profit, that's still only $10M per year, and so they're valued at 13x present production. Their share price is "low" only because it was diluted so they could bring CMM back to life; their market cap is still over $100M. So I wouldn't call them "low", unless you bring in the value of reserves and M&I.

I really should go and track down some info on Finsky, since he looks like the true wildcard and key to this "New Century" we're seeing.
