Good momentum and gold price....

Unfortunately the momentum has been in the frequency of good news - not as strongly related in the share price.

Good to see the SP go up after the good news release. Makes me a firmer believer in not being hosed by greater forces as seems to be sometimes be the case with NOT.

Loved the radio interview, and the story of them paying their debts and 'not being made of that stuff'. Regardless of anything, by saying that publicly she is putting her reputation on the line which speaks well with investors like myself.

Price of gold etc? Aside from a declining resource and a declining US$, I believe the case for a demand for the use for gold is quite strong. For as long as humans and gold have been around it has been utilized as a currency. There is no other material in the world that has the properties of gold to be as efficient as a global currency. If someone were to store 1 million pairs of boots and 20,000 fishing lines in a vault as tangible items for trade, go ahead - but I don't think you'll have a market in mainland anywhere warm and dry. An example...not a great one, I admit. This is a loooong debate but there are many reasons why gold could and should be used the global resrve currency (as it was recently) again, and in the nearer future.

Not the least is the fact that the USA can legally print as much money as they like without disclosing the amount to anyone. Imagine if you were a bondholder? BRIC is not very happy with Bernanke's policies right now and I don't blame them.

India buying 200 tonnes of gold on the market without flinching the spot price is of historical significance, and in my opinion - one of those signs you can either heed or ignore.

Of course, I definitely encourage debate about this. And I agree that the best reason for gold to down is because everything in the world dictates that it should go up.

No worries about the SP. Any US holiday is like a holiday in the Canadian markets.

Seems like all the ingredients were mixed in the bowl, dumped in the pan and the oven is preheated to 350. Just need to slide it in oven, wait 25-30 minutes and this cake should be done. As always, patience is essential but such a hard discipline to exercise.
