It looks to me like Peggy was given 2 raw deals...the gold price tanking in the early 1990s and the financial crisis last year that saw her financing go ou the door.
These are events that were out of her control and to fault her because of this is poor judgement. She found the necessary backers in Finskiy and Scola to get Lamaque back up and running and in these 2 backers, she not only got money but expertise as well. She has surrounded herself with very capable people and as long as a calamity does not strike her again, her third time should be successful, maybe very successful if bullion maintains these high prices.
