Message: Re: Jackson Buys 8 Electric Buses For Transit System, But None Are Working

Proterra had a lot of other problems besides the battery.   Parts to fix those problems will soon not  be available.

Electrovaya has bigger fish to catch with much better volume.  Taking on Proterra would be a big head ache and a drain.  Electrovaya won't touch anything they can't make a profit from.  JMHO

Mississaguga Production.  I think that  expanding their production using only one shift is for a reason.  They can get all of the equipment running and tuned.  Then if a large customer came on board it would be easy to double production by just adding a shift.  I noticed in the pdf report SustainableFutures posted that most of New Flyers production is in Canada.  If Electrovaya takes them on they would most likely have to add a shift.  They are the second largest buss manufacturer.  Electrovaya needs to be careful about approaching Proterra as their busses have more problems that just the battery.  Proterra could have designed in a propane heater if they were smart.  Cutting corners always gets you in trouble.
