A couple of things to note from this video:
- The building plant that they are taking over/transforming looks to be in decent shape- opened back in 1989- so just a bit over 30 years old.
- Local authorities seem pretty thrilled to have Electrovaya moving into Jamestown. When Haidenhain (Electronics/Optics) left in 2018 another company, MD Electronics also left the area that year. They really want to build back the manufacturing pieces of their local economy.
- We do need to get Raj to get back into the suit-wearing game. Leave turtlenecks, unbuttoned collars and jeans for Silicon Valley types. We need Raj to look older and more corporate.
- I'm guessing that Raj gave the news team a simplified version of future plans- the footage includes a shot that implies the production of car batteries. That said, it would be pretty cool if the new solid-state battery was ready sooner than 2024 and became part of some big company's plans for electric car production. Electrovaya's solid-state technology in cars would be a game changer for sure.
- Personally, I'm hoping that the next big announcement is a large bus battery contract.
