The new location agreement includes access to a lot of lab equipment and other scientists already on site. Nice synergies. What would it cost to create a similar setup at the plant? Not cheap?  It probably made sense to do it this way. Does sound like they want to beef up the R&D.

As far as mergers or sale, I would think a buyer would want the patents and research too.
