A battery that would work well in the cold would be a great advantage.  I have a pluggable hybrid car.  I drive back and forth to town on battery.  On cold mornings like this morning 30 F the gasoline engine cranks and warms the engine coolant.  The coolant is then pumped thru the battery pack to warm it so the batteries will work better.  Still the battery range is reduced with the cold.
