LG will supply batteries for existing models.. It is not good to have to change batteries during a model production run. That said, new models MAY transition to a newer style battery, especially if it is a better battery at a lower cost. All of this will take time (years) to work its way through. I think that is why Electrovaya said they were working on Fork lifts and stationary storage as that market is immediate. Also providing parts (Electrodes/separators) to other battery manufacturers is an excellent way to draw in a joint venture partner and provide immediate cash.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
