ok, somehow it becomes intersting and much more visible - German automotive companies are waking up. VW CEO Martin Winterkorn mentioned at a visit at MIT that the "solid state lithium batteries" are a possible solution" and LGs tech is lithium polymer as well, if I am not mistaken. I guess the ball starts rolling.

Btw: I think that grants are already negotiated otherwise no press release would be made on this.
Also, there is a major grant scheme for energy storage in Germany with a overall size of 3,5bil

Last but not least, it becomes pretty clear, which path Electrovaya and LG Chem took to become a major player within the automotive and storage market. It was not just Dong Feng that was supplied with batteries for testing, it was the whole consortium!
"The Alliance also operates strategic collaborations with automakers including Germany’s Daimler, China’s Dongfeng, and India’s Ashok Leyland and has a majority stake in the joint venture which owns Russia’s top automaker, AVTOVAZ."

oh and another one -> there is a member from india in the consortium, hence I am not surprised that ELF was also looking towards India for business (see 2011 company presentation).

So do we have some more technology and manufacturing links with LG Chem?
Your call gentlemen!
Cheers
