I partially addressed this in an earlier post but let me share what I know about their manufacturing capacity. A few months ago I spoke with IR and was told they had they capacity to produce enough batteries for 10,000 EV's. If you base the numbers on the dongfeng model of 18kwh to 20kwh battery for their EV's that gives us an annual capacity of approximately 180-200Mwh. That was prior to the most recent expansions in capacity so I think it would be a fair amount higher now. I recently asked them about any new plants and was told they still have plenty of room for expansion at their mississauga plant and that they would most likely keep expanding there for now.
