My understanding of the situation is that Wanxiang Group and Dongfeng are not really related, most companies in China are at least partially run by the Chinese Gov. Although most auto companies in China are partially owned by the State they are still competitors. Wanxiang should be considered a competitor to electrovaya. They use a different chemistry than electrovaya.
